Three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray has been handed a wildcard entry into the Indian Wells Masters later this month.
The Brit - who joins Sofia Kenin as the other wildcard for the Masters 1000 event - is still awaiting his first triumph in the tournament after going down to Rafael Nadal in the 2009 final.
Murray was also defeated by Novak Djokovic in the final four of the 2007 and 2015 competitions, but the former world number one will have another shot at glory in this month's competition.
Murray's most recent ATP tournament ended in a last-16 defeat to Italy's Jannik Sinner in the Dubai Tennis Championships, and the 34-year-old has won eight and lost six of his matches so far in 2022.
The Brit heads into the ATP 1000 event still seeking his first singles title since winning the European Open in October 2019, although he did reach the final of the Sydney International in January before losing to Aslan Karatsev.
Murray's compatriot Cameron Norrie enters the 2022 Indian Wells Masters as the defending champion, with the 26-year-old defeating Georgia's Nikoloz Basilashvili in a three-set final back in October.
