Ajax defender Vurnon Anita has admitted that he will meet with the Dutch club's sporting director Marc Overmars with a view to discussing his future.
The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with Newcastle United this summer, while Aston Villa have also been credited with an interest.
The Magpies have already had an offer of £5m rejected, according to The Mirror, but Anita wants some clarification ahead of the new season.
"I've two years left on my contract. But I want some clarity from Ajax about my future. We have a meeting with Marc Overmars, the club's new sporting director, to get a clear view of what the club wants," he told reporters.
Anita has three Netherlands caps to his name.
