AC Milan will reportedly try to sign Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula if manager Carlo Ancelotti returns to the club this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly try to sign Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula if he returns to AC Milan this summer.

The Italian manager has been linked with a return to the San Siro following his dismissal at Real Madrid, while Marseille are expected to sell Imbula to bring in some funds, with Andre Ayew and Andre-Pierre Gignac able to leave on a free.

French publication Le10 Sport claims that Marseille's financial situation means that the 22-year-old will be on his way to the Serie A side if they appoint Ancelotti.

Imbula has previously been linked with Chelsea as well as Italian champions Juventus.
