Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere out for further "three or four weeks"

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reveals that Jack Wilshere, who has not played at all this season, will miss a further "three or four weeks" because of injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Jack Wilshere faces another month on the sidelines following an injury-ravaged season.

The midfielder has not played in the 2015-16 campaign as he broke his leg towards the end of the Gunners' pre-season schedule in the summer.

It was thought that the England international was closing in on a comeback, but Wenger told reporters in Friday's press conference that fans will have to wait a further "three or four weeks" to see Wilshere play again.

Injuries have hampered Wilshere's progress in the last few years and since the 2010-11 campaign, the midfielder has not played more than 25 league games in a single season.

The 24-year-old's current injury woes pour doubt over his inclusion in the England squad for this summer's European Championships in France.
