Cesc Fabregas says that he would be open to a return to Arsenal if he were ever to leave Barcelona.

Cesc Fabregas has claimed that he would not rule out a return to Arsenal later in his career.

The 24-year-old returned to Barcelona in the summer after spending eight years at the Emirates.

The Spanish midfielder has stated that he would be happy to retire at the Nou Camp, but if he were to make another move, it would be to go back to North London.

"Apart from Arsenal and Barcelona, I don't see myself playing anywhere else," he told Sky Sports News.

"I will definitely be going back [to Arsenal] whenever I have time to watch games and to see the guys, and you never know in the future.

"I hope I will stay here for a very long time, and maybe even retire here, but why not? In life, you can never say never, and if there is one place to go back to, it is Arsenal for sure."

Fabregas returned to Barcelona in the summer for an initial fee of £29m.
