Emmanuel Frimpong has stated his desire to earn recognition from Ghana at international level.
The 21-year-old joined Fulham on a six-month loan basis from Arsenal in January.
Having been given international clearance to represent Ghana, the midfielder is hoping that his temporary switch to Craven Cottage will help him catch the eye of national coach Kwesi Appiah.
"I want to play for Ghana and, hopefully, I can start doing that very soon," Frimpong is quoted as saying by the London Evening Standard. "That is my aim, to get into the squad. But for that to happen, I need to start playing regularly.
"I spoke to the manager recently and he said I should just carry on playing my football and see what happens for the next game. That is next month so we will have to wait and see what he decides."
Frimpong has yet to represent Ghana at international level.
