Thierry Henry wants to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry reveals that he would love to succeed Arsene Wenger as manager of the club.

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has revealed that he would jump at the chance of succeeding Arsene Wenger as manager.

The 37-year-old won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups during eight years with the Gunners.

Since retiring from playing last year Henry has been touted as a potential successor to his former boss, but the Frenchman has admitted that he is not ready yet.

"If I am in my dreams, I would say to myself that I would like to come back to Arsenal," Henry told The Express.

"But life doesn't work like that. I know football, but will I be able to educate someone? I don't know yet. I just want to learn how. I am preparing myself, that is it.

"After that, I don't know if I will have the opportunity or not. I became an Arsenal fan and I truly love Arsenal so yes I would like to succeed Wenger but I am not there, so, calm yourselves down."

Henry called time on his career in December following a stint with the New York Red Bulls.
