Arsenal teammates Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere have their say on Twitter over the nations' divide within the Olympic Team GB controversy.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has slammed critics questioning his loyalty to Wales after being pictured in a Team Great Britain kit, while Jack Wilshere has urged the nations to "come together".

Wales stars Ramsey and Gareth Bale came under fire after being photographed in Olympic Team GB supporters' jerseys despite the Welsh Football Association being against the inclusion of all nations in the Olympic football team.

"Relax everyone, there is absolutely no way I would play in the Olympic team if it was going to affect Wales' identity as an individual nation!" Ramsey said on his Twitter page.

Meanwhile, Gunners teammate and England international Wilshere believes that the Olympic team should incorporate all of the best talent from around the country.

"Don't see what the problem is with the best players from Wales, Scotland and Ireland playing for the Great Britain Olympic team," said Wilshere on the social network site.

"Ok there is rivalry when we play against each other but this is the Olympics, we should come together and compete because we could win Gold and it's a massive opportunity for us to achieve something together!"

Scotland and Northern Ireland are also believed to be opposed to the idea of a Team GB side.
