Craig Bellamy says that he approves of Welsh players being involved with Team GB.

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has said that he approves of Welsh players being involved with the Olympic football squad for 2012.

Young Welsh stars such as Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale have been tipped for inclusion in the squad, but the team does not have the backing of the Welsh FA.

"They are good enough to do it. If they do get the opportunity it's a great honour for them," Bellamy said.

So far, only the English FA has approved of Team GB, but Gareth Bale recently made headlines by posing in the team's kit.
