Theo Walcott hopes to improve finishing

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott reveals that he wants to improve his finishing for next season.

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has revealed that he hopes to improve his finishing for next season.

The 23-year-old, who was recently ruled out for the rest of the current campaign through injury, has scored 11 goals in all competitions for the Gunners this term.

However, the England international wants to show his critics that he is about more than just his running down the flanks.

"At times people just expect me to knock the ball and run but it is not as easy as you think, to be honest," he told the club's official website.

"As soon as you start doing that, the defender knows what you are doing every time. You need to change it because you can't just be one-dimensional.

"I am always going to be known for pace, I know that, but the next step is the finishing. I have a lot of assists this season but I don't think I am ever going to lose that."

Walcott moved to the Emirates Stadium from Southampton in 2006 for around £9m.
