Arsenal reportedly block a loan move for striker Danny Welbeck to Turkish side Besiktas.

Arsenal have reportedly blocked a loan move for striker Danny Welbeck to Turkish side Besiktas.

The club are seeking a replacement for Cenk Tosun, who signed for Everton earlier this month, and have been linked with a temporary move for England international Welbeck.

According to Turkish outlet Sporx, however, the Gunners have been forced to block Welbeck's exit from the Emirates Stadium ahead of Theo Walcott's potential move to Goodison Park.

The source says that Arsene Wenger is also wary of Alexis Sanchez's uncertain future in North London, after he was linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United.

Welbeck, who has failed to cement a starting position in Wenger's team this season, has scored just five goals this term. The 27-year-old has been capped by the Three Lions 36 times in his career.
