Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Ramires, who is also attracting the interest of Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on 18-year-old Bahia midfielder Ramires ahead of a possible January move.

The youngster has broken into the Bahia first team this season, making nine appearances in the Brazilian top flight to establish himself at senior level.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal have sent scouts to watch him on six previous occasions already and are mulling over a bid for the Brazilian when the transfer window reopens.

Bahia are unwilling to let Ramires join any of their domestic rivals but would be open to selling him overseas, and the Emirates Stadium is now considered his most likely destination.

However, Arsenal could face competition for his signature from Atletico Madrid, who have also been tracking the teen.
