Gianelli Imbula 'prefers Southampton switch'

Gianelli Imbula reveals his intention to join Southampton, according to a report.

Gianelli Imbula is reportedly keen on a move to Premier League side Southampton, despite rumoured interest from other English and European clubs.

The former France youth international was recently linked with a move to Inter Milan, with the Nerazzurri said to have agreed terms with Marseille over a transfer.

According to RMC, Tottenham Hotspur have also had a €13m (£9.2m) bid rejected by OM, while North London rivals Arsenal were reportedly showing an interest in the 22-year-old last week.

However, Les Parisien claims that Imbula has since revealed his preference for a move to Southampton for next season.

It is reported that the Saints will need to fork out a €2m loan fee, with a mandatory €18m buyout clause attached.
