Gabriel Agbonlahor doubtful for Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert reveals that Gabriel Agbonlahor is suffering with an ankle injury ahead of Saturday's trip to West Ham United in the Premier League.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has revealed that Gabriel Agbonlahor is an injury doubt for Saturday's trip to West Ham United in the Premier League.

The forward picked up an ankle problem during the Villans' 2-0 defeat at home to Everton last weekend.

Agbonlahor will now be assessed by the club's medical staff before the team makes the trip to Upton Park.

Lambert told Sky Sports News: "He's got a knock on that ankle that was giving him a bit of a problem before so we have to wait and see. Everybody else seems not too bad."

Villa are currently in 13th place in the Premier League table with 10 points from their opening nine matches.
