FA to investigate Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew's 'confrontation with fans'

The Football Association reportedly launches an investigation after Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew allegedly tried to confront Watford fans during Saturday's match.

The Football Association is reportedly investigating an incident involving Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew following Saturday's Premier League match against Watford.

The 24-year-old is believed to have climbed over advertising boards to confront Watford fans situated in the Sir Elton John Stand at Vicarage Road.

Ayew's teammate Idrissa Gana was also reportedly involved in the incident, which occurred during Villa's 3-2 defeat.

According to BBC Sport, the English governing body is planning to investigate the incident.

Villa, who have already been relegated to the Championship, led 2-1 before Troy Deeney scored twice within three minutes late on.
