Robbie Keane has refused to rule out a return to Aston Villa after he makes his final appearance for the club at Wigan Athletic this afternoon.
Keane, who arrived at Villa Park on loan from Los Angeles over the winter, has made an instant impact at the club, scoring three goals in five appearances for the Midlands outfit so far.
"It's been great," he said. "The club as a whole has been fantastic. Villa have looked after me.
"I couldn't have wished to come to a better club. The people have been great to me. You never forget things like that.
"Football is a strange game so you have to be open-minded about things, you can never rule anything out, but that's it at the moment."
Meanwhile, manager Alex McLeish has said that he would welcome the striker back to the club.
