Sheffield United are reportedly willing to make Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan their best-paid player in order to push through a loan move.
The Blades have so far been left frustrated in their pursuit of the 26-year-old, who has scored seven goals in 50 league outings since arriving from Brentford in a £9m deal.
According to The Sun, United have informed Villa that they are prepared to pay Hogan's wages in full across the duration of his stay in South Yorkshire.
That will supposedly mean paying the Republic of Ireland international £35,000 a week, with boss Chris Wilder desperate to recruit a proven striker before the loan window closes.
Villa are said to be willing to offload Hogan in order to make room for Tammy Abraham or Sheyi Ojo.
