Real Madrid injury, suspension news vs. Leganes: Los Blancos confirm Antonio Rudiger blow

Sports Mole looks at Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their Copa del Rey clash with Leganes.

Real Madrid will be aiming to book their spot in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey when they take on Leganes in the final eight of the competition on Wednesday night.

Los Blancos will enter the clash off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Espanyol in La Liga, but the capital giants remain top of the table, one point ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid ahead of next weekend's Madrid derby.

Real Madrid have won the Copa del Rey on 20 occasions, with their last success in the competition coming in 2022-23.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the team's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Leganes, who will enter the quarter-final off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.

Eduardo Camavinga

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 5 (vs. Leganes)

Real Madrid were again without the services of Camavinga on Saturday due to a hamstring injury, but there is a slight chance that the midfielder could be back in the squad against Leganes.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid will be without the services of Carvajal for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign due to the severe knee injury that the right-back suffered in the clash with Villarreal on October 5.

Eder Militao

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid will be without the services of Militao for the remainder of the campaign, as the Brazilian centre-back damaged his ACL during the clash with Osasuna back in November.

Antonio Rudiger

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: March 1 (vs. Real Betis)

Real Madrid defender Rudiger suffered a thigh problem against Espanyol on Saturday, and the German is now facing three weeks out, meaning that he might not be back for Los Blancos until the start of March.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid have no players suspended for the Copa del Rey contest.
