Arda Turan ruled out of Barcelona clash

Arda Turan will miss Atletico Madrid's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Barcelona on Wednesday.

Atletico Madrid will be without the services of Arda Turan for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Barcelona.

The experienced midfielder missed the 1-0 win over Villarreal in La Liga at the weekend with a hernia issue, but it had been claimed that the Turkish international would return at the Vicente Calderon.

Such hopes have now been quashed, however, with head coach Diego Simeone not including Turan in his 21-man list for the European contest.

Leading scorer Diego Costa still has an outside chance of being involved, while Raul Garcia and Javier Manquillo are also available following suspension and injury respectively.

The two sides are currently level at 1-1 from the first leg last week.
