Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Sevilla

Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg with Sevilla.

Barcelona travel to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Wednesday evening for the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final tie with Sevilla.

Ronald Koeman's men appear to have found some momentum thanks to six wins in a row in all competitions, most recently beating Real Betis 3-1 in La Liga on Sunday.

Barca will now be looking to keep alive their chances of winning silverware in Koeman's first season in charge by overcoming Sevilla and reaching the Copa del Rey final.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's semi-final first leg.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Ronald Araujo has been one of Barcelona's most consistent performers this season, but he is facing a spell on the sidelines after injuring his ankle in the win over Betis. Barca confirmed on Monday that the young defender is facing a month out.

Sergi Roberto

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: February 10 (vs. Sevilla)

Sergi Roberto had only just recovered from one injury when sustaining another knock in the win over Granada last week. The defender missed Barca's next match and remains a doubt for this cup tie.

Philippe Coutinho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Philippe Coutinho underwent knee surgery in early January and was ruled out of action for at least three months. The playmaker, who has endured a frustrating time of things at Camp Nou, should be back again before the season is over.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Barca lost Ansu Fati to a knee injury in November and the young attacker has not featured since. Reports from Spain last week suggested that Fati is facing a third operation to rectify the problem, which could rule him out until next season.

Gerard Pique

Gerard Pique is another Barcelona player suffering with a knee injury. The centre-back last appeared in November, but he is on course to return to the field by April time.
