Luis Suarez: 'El Clasico not decisive'

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez plays down the significance of Saturday's El Clasico against Real Madrid, claiming that the season "will be long and difficult".

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has insisted that Saturday's El Clasico will not be decisive in terms of the destination of the league title.

The Catalan outfit will travel to Real Madrid at the weekend boasting a three-point lead over their rivals at the top of the La Liga table.

Victory for Barcelona would stretch that gap to six points in the build-up to the winter break, but Suarez has insisted that there is still 'a long and difficult campaign ahead'.

"I don't think the league will be decided by this match. This will be long and difficult," Suarez told reporters.

Barcelona are expected to have Lionel Messi back in their squad for the clash at the Bernabeu, but the Argentine is unlikely to start following a serious knee injury.
