Barcelona team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Real Sociedad

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's La Liga fixture with Real Sociedad.

Barcelona head into Sunday's La Liga encounter with Real Sociedad looking to regain top spot in the standings.

As a result of losing 2-0 to Real Madrid in last weekend's El Clasico, the Catalan giants now trail their fierce rivals by two points.

However, with Los Blancos not playing Real Betis until a day later, Quique Setien's team can move into first place with victory at Camp Nou.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their next outing.

Ousmane Dembele

Dembele will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign, having recently undergone surgery on a hamstring injury. The France international is also expected to miss out on representing his country at Euro 2020.

Luis Suarez

Possible return date: Unknown

Suarez underwent an operation in January after damaging the external meniscus on his right knee. While the Uruguay international is expected to be sidelined until May, the forward may make his return during the closing weeks of the season.

Sergi Roberto
