Xavi is a doubt for Barcelona's trip to Celta Vigo on Saturday after picking up a hamstring strain.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi is a doubt for the Catalan side's trip to Celta Vigo on Saturday with a hamstring strain.

Xavi missed a large part of February with the same injury and the club has announced that whether he plays on Saturday will depend on any improvement he makes on Friday.

He received treatment on Thursday and in a statement Barcelona said: "His availability for the next match will depend on his evolution."

The player is expected to be fit for the Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain on April 2.
