Uli Hoeness: 'Jupp Heynckes could stay'

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness says that there are no plans to replace Jupp Heynckes at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has hinted that Jupp Heynckes could be kept on in his position into next season.

There has been speculation regarding the 67-year-old's future following a poor domestic campaign last year.

The German media continue to link Hannover coach Mirko Slomka with the Allianz Arena post.

However, Hoeness has put an end to those rumours, revealing that there are no plans to replace Heynckes as yet.

"Currently, Matthias Sammer does not have to look for a new coach," Hoeness told Sky News. "We don't know if we will need a new coach.

"Nobody builds the Bayern future alone, but rather we together make what will in the end hopefully be the right decisions. They could also lead to Heynckes staying for another year."

The Bavarian outfit are currently unbeaten and sit top of the Bundesliga.
