Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Mainz 05

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Mainz 05.

Fresh from their morale-boosting Champions League win in midweek, Bayern Munich return to Bundesliga action on Saturday as they welcome relegation-threatened Mainz 05 to the Allianz Arena.

The Bavarian will be looking to complete their first league double over the 05ers since 2019-20 after claiming a 3-1 away victory in the reverse fixture in October last year.

We say: Bayern Munich 4-1 Mainz 05

Bayern will enter Saturday's contest as firm favourites, but they are aware that there is no room for error from now until the end of the season if they are to keep their slim hopes of retaining the Bundesliga title alive.

Mainz cannot be written off entirely as they are fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table and have marginally improved under Henriksen, but Bayern should ultimately have the firepower to outscore their opponents en route to a comfortable victory.

RB Leipzig vs. Darmstadt (Saturday, 2.30pm)

RB Leipzig will be looking to put the disappointment of their midweek Champions League exit behind them when they welcome Bundesliga basement club SV Darmstadt 98 to the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

The two teams meet for the first time since October last year when Die Rotten Bullen secured a 3-1 victory at Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor.

We say: RB Leipzig 3-0 SV Darmstadt 98

Darmstadt supporters will be expecting a response from their team this weekend, but their chances of claiming a positive result are slim considering they come up against a Champions League-chasing Leipzig outfit on home soil.

Die Roten Bullen have not lost any of their previous 30 top-flight meetings with newly-promoted teams and it is difficult to back against a comfortable victory for the hosts this time around.

Borussia M'bach vs. FC Koln (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Nine points separate Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Koln in the Bundesliga heading into Saturday's gameweek 25 encounter at Borussia-Park.

The home side boast a rather strong home record, while the visiting club are unbeaten on their travels under new boss Timo Schultz.

We say: Borussia Monchengladbach 1-1 FC Koln

Koln could secure a fourth consecutive away draw under Schultz, with Gladbach's recent unconvincing home results inspiring little confidence that a victory is in the offing.

Augsburg vs. Heidenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

A week on from claiming the joint-biggest Bundesliga victory in their history, Augsburg welcome Heidenheim to the WWK Arena on Saturday afternoon.

FCH will be seeking revenge against Die Fuggerstadter after they suffered a 5-2 home defeat in the reverse fixture five months ago.

We say: Augsburg 2-2 Heidenheim

Both teams will be motivated to collect maximum points this weekend, as victory for either side would all but guarantee survival for next season and boost their hopes of finishing the campaign in the top half of the table.

Augsburg got the better of Heidenheim the last time these two teams met, but we can see the visitors, who have been strong away from home in recent weeks, claiming a share of the spoils in an entertaining affair this time around.

Werder Bremen vs. Dortmund (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Borussia Dortmund will endeavour to consolidate their position in the top four of the Bundesliga table when they travel to Weserstadion to face top-six outsiders Werder Bremen on Saturday evening.

The two teams last butted heads in October last year when BVB claimed a slender 1-0 home victory, courtesy of a second-half strike from Julian Brandt.

We say: Werder Bremen 1-2 Borussia Dortmund

Prior to their 1-0 win in the reverse fixture, Dortmund had scored at least two or more goals in each of their previous 11 meetings with Bremen, so they should be confident of breaching their backline once again on Saturday.

Bremen cannot be taken lightly by BVB, though, as they have taken points from the likes of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig this season, but we believe the visitors will find a way to come out on top to boost their top-four hopes.
