Bremen have been tracking a left-back for a while and reportedly see Contento as the ideal option.
However, according to the report, Bayern are keen to keep hold of Contento as backup to current starter David Alaba.
Bremen are yet to have made a bid for the player, but are expected to open talks in the coming days.
