Ben Davies strikes five minutes from the half-time interval to give Derby County the lead at Birmingham City.

Derby County are leading Birmingham City 1-0 at the break in their Championship game at St Andrew's.

Ben Davies was the first player from either side to try his luck, but his effort from outside the box after three minutes went wide.

Nikola Zigic failed to keep his header from Paul Caddis's delivery on target 12 minutes later, before Davies once again went for goal from long range but in vain.

Davies eventually put the Rams in the lead five minutes before the interval when he found the target from close range.
