Preview: Birmingham City vs. Ipswich Town

Sports Mole previews Ipswich Town's trip to St Andrew's to face Birmingham City.

Birmingham City play Ipswich Town on Saturday hoping to regain their early season form.

The Blues won their opening two fixtures of the new season, but two Championship defeats have left them in 18th position in the league table.

However, manager Lee Clark did see his team record a penalty shootout triumph against Yeovil Town in the Capital One Cup in midweek.

Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy will be unhappy with his side's start to the campaign after losing four of their opening five games.

That could see the former Wolves chief ring the changes at St Andrew's, with Paul Anderson and Christophe Berra potentially being recalled to the starting lineup.

Recent form

Birmingham City: WWLLD

Ipswich Town: LLWLL

Possible lineups

Birmingham City: Doyle; Robinson, Bartley, Burn, Eardley; Burke, Shinnie, Spector, Elliott; Novak, Green

Ipswich Town: Loach; Hewitt, Cresswell, Berra, Smith; Anderson, Skuse, Tabb, Hyam; Murphy, McGoldrick

Sports Mole says: 2-1
