Blackburn Rovers caretaker manager Gary Bowyer believes that he and his players must step up and be counted in their fight against relegation.
Rovers slipped into the bottom three of the Championship following their 3-2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
"We can't hide from it, we are in the bottom three, we aren't ignoring that, it is reality," Bowyer told the club's official website.
"The players have to look at it and take responsibility and ownership. There are six games left this season, there are 18 points to play for, our game in hand is going to be important, the goal difference is going to be important.
"I'm sure that if we play and compete and play like we did on Saturday, then we'll be fine."
Next up for Blackburn is a match against Derby County at Ewood Park on Saturday.
