Global advisor Shebby Singh has dismissed claims that he has been involved with contract negotiations at the club.
A national newspaper recently claimed that Singh had been privy to talks, as well as how much money agents were receiving when their clients signed on at Ewood Park.
However, the 52-year-old has strongly denied the rumours via a statement, which read: "I have been involved in discussions regarding players and their abilities and potential, but have never been involved in contract negotiations.
"That was not my remit and hence I have no idea about individual player earnings and such."
Singh was appointed to his role with the Championship club in June 2012.
