Jurgen Klopp hopeful Mario Gotze will be fit for Champions League final

Borussia Dortmund Jurgen Klopp believes that Mario Gotze has a chance of being fit for next weekend's Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that playmaker Mario Gotze will return to fitness in time for the Champions League final.

The German outfit will go up against their Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich next weekend, but Gotze has been out of action since he picked up a hamstring injury during the semi-finals against Real Madrid.

"We will intensify training and the plan is that he will begin to train with the team next week," BBC Sport quotes Klopp as saying. "Then I hope everything stays as it is, after that we will decide whether it works or not."

The European final will take place at Wembley on May 25.
