Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has handed a start to striker Christian Benteke for his side's Premier League clash at Brighton & Hove Albion.

Benteke has endured a disappointing season, with no goals being scored in eight league outings and a knee injury keeping the Belgian out for a number of weeks, but he gets a chance to impress Hodgson against one of the club's rivals.

The inclusion of the 26-year-old is the one change from the 2-1 win over Stoke City, with James McArthur the player to drop down to the bench.

Brighton manager Chris Hughton has made two changes from the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United, with Markus Suttner and Jose Izquierdo coming into the team.

Solly March has only been named on the bench, while Gaetan Bong does not feature in the 18-man squad.
