The football association invites Fabrice Muamba to the FA Cup final as a VIP guest.

Bolton Wanderers' Fabrice Muamba has been invited to attend the FA Cup final as a VIP guest.

The midfielder, who made a miraculous recovery from a cardiac arrest, will watch Liverpool take on Chelsea from the Royal Box at Wembley if he accepts the offer.

Muamba collapsed during his side's FA Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur in March, and was "effectively dead" for 78 minutes.

The 24-year-old was conscious within several days of the incident, and released from the London Chest Hospital less than a month later.

According to The Mirror, he returned to hospital today (Thursday) for a check-up, and was told that there have been no setbacks in his recovery.

It has yet to be confirmed whether Muamba will make a return to Premier League football.
