Gary Cahill delighted with "huge" Chelsea performance

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill praises the team's "huge performance" during Monday night's 1-0 win at Manchester City in the Premier League.

Gary Cahill has praised Chelsea's "huge performance" during Monday night's win against Manchester City in the Premier League.

City were beaten at home for the first time in the league this season as Branislav Ivanovic's goal separated the title rivals at the Etihad Stadium.

"It was a huge performance from us," Cahill told the club's official website.

"We worked hard. In the second half everyone put in a shift and that's what you need to do when you go there.

"Everybody's aware of their home form this season but we put in a great performance and overall I felt we deserved to win the game."

Monday's victory saw Chelsea move level on points with second-placed City in the table.
