Petr Cech: 'Manchester City are favourites to win title'

Petr Cech believes that Manchester City are currently favourites to win the Premier League title.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has claimed that Manchester City should be considered as favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

The Blues are currently six points ahead of City, who have two games in hand, but Cech believes that the league leaders face the tougher tests against the sides close to the top of the table.

"The four or five teams that are very close to each other all have a chance to win the title," the 31-year-old told the Evening Standard. "The way it has gone this season, anything can happen.

"Manchester City are still the favourites and there are teams pushing to be as close as possible. We still have to play most of them so we need to make sure we do well in the face-to-face games."

Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
