Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has hailed his side's 4-0 win over Nordsjaelland as a "great result".

A brace from Juan Mata and one each for David Luiz and Ramires gave Roberto Di Matteo's men all three points in their opponents' first ever Champions League game on home soil.

Lampard admitted that the Danish champions were something of an unknown quantity and that he was worried that they might pull off a shock at times, but ultimately was delighted at getting all three points.

"It was a great result for us, it was a tough game. They were a bit of an unknown but we know they played good football and we had to bide our time, we put the hard work in and all the goals came at the end," Lampard told Sky Sports News

"[I was] a little bit [concerned] because this is Champions League football, there are no easy games and at 1-0 they created a few half-chances, hit the post in the second half, but once we got the second goal that was it and we dominated from there on."

Chelsea now return to domestic duty as they face Norwich City this weekend, while their next European fixture comes away to Shakhtar Donetsk.
