Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure believes that La Liga is superior to the Premier League.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has revealed that he believes La Liga to be of superior quality to the Premier League.

The Ivorian was brought to England in 2010 from Barcelona, and the 29-year-old has admitted that he feels that the Spanish league is better than England's top division.

"Spain has more quality, it is more technical," he told the Daily Mail.

"In England, you need everything: power, strength, tackling, running. I don't think it is realistic to play like Barcelona because the Premier League is different to football in Spain."

The midfielder scored in his side's 2-0 win against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
