Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger allegedly does not have wage demands which total £400,000 per week.
Despite their continued efforts, the Blues have failed to agree fresh terms with the 28-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Germany international is said to want a package which puts him on a level with other key players in Thomas Tuchel's squad.
However, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk, Rudiger has not asked for wages which would equal £19.2m per year.
Falk claims that Chelsea have offered in the region of £8.5m per year, far below Rudiger's minimum expectation of £12m.
At a time when Real Madrid are said to be favourites for the player, Blues boss Tuchel has hinted that he is remaining 'patient' as talks continue behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge.
