Chelsea will use Kevin de Bruyne as bait to land Bayer Leverkusen winger Andre Schurrle, according to reports in Germany.
The Blues have long been interested in the 22-year-old German international, who impressed during last year's Euro 2012.
The Bundesliga outfit reportedly turned down a €25m (£21.2m) offer last summer, but Bild believes that the West London club will renew their interest.
According to the German newspaper, a bid of €12m (£10.1m), as well as the Belgian attacker, may tempt Lowen into business.
De Bruyne is currently on loan at Werder Bremen, where he has been a bright light during a stuttering campaign.
His agent Patrick de Koster recently stated that the 21-year-old's future lies at Stamford Bridge.
