AC Milan still confident of striking Cesc Fabregas deal in January?

Cesc Fabregas reportedly remains a January target for AC Milan, despite the Spanish midfielder hinting that he will stay at Chelsea until next summer.

AC Milan are reportedly still intent on signing Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea when the transfer window opens for business next month.

The Spanish midfielder suggested earlier this week that he will likely depart Stamford Bridge when his contract expires at the end of the season.

That appeared to be a blow to Milan, as well as rivals Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, with all three clubs being linked with a January move for the former Arsenal and Barcelona ace.

Amid an injury crisis that has seen them lose some key players, however, Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that the Rossoneri are not ruling out bringing in Fabregas for the second half of the campaign in a £10m transfer.

Barcelona outcast Denis Suarez has also been tipped to join the Italian side in the coming weeks.
