Report: Atletico Madrid consider Pepe Reina

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly considering a move for Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is reportedly considering a move for Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina at the end of the season.

Reina, who is currently on loan at Napoli from Liverpool, has been widely linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer, but thus far no official offer has been made.

Atletico are expected to lose their current number one Thibaut Courtois in the summer, with parent club Chelsea due to recall the Belgian international.

According to Marca, that has led to Simeone eyeing a move for Reina, who could be available for as little as £4m at the end of the season.

Atletico's current number two Dani Aranzubia will be out of contract next year.
