Report: Paris Saint-Germain launch Cesar Azpilicueta bid

A report claims that Paris Saint-Germain have made an £8.5m offer for Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly launched an £8.5m bid for Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2012 and has quickly developed into one of the best full-backs in European football.

Last season, his form kept Ashley Cole on the sidelines, while Filipe Luis has had to play second fiddle to the Spaniard this term.

According to The Metro, PSG want to bring the defender back to France and have made an offer in the region of £8.5m.

Azpilicueta did not make his Spain debut until 2013, but is now considered as one of La Roja's key players moving forward.

Chelsea will welcome PSG to London for the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash on Wednesday.
