Jermaine McGlashan says that he was proud to come out on top in a battle against Marouane Fellaini during Cheltenham Town's FA Cup defeat to Everton.

Cheltenham Town winger Jermaine McGlashan has revealed his pride at taking down Marouane Fellaini during their FA Cup meeting with Everton.

The Premier League side progressed to the fourth round of the competition after a 5-1 win at Whaddon Road on Monday.

However, the Robins player says that he earned a personal achievement by felling the 6'4" Belgian.

"They didn't have many chances but they were just clinical in front of goal. That's them showing why they are playing in the best league in the world," said McGlashan.

"We worked our socks off and did ourselves credit with the performance – they were just different gear to us.

"But it was good to throw Fellaini on the floor as he's massive. I had a go at him when he was on the floor telling him to get up and I'll certainly remember that."

Everton will now travel to either Bolton Wanderers or Sunderland in the next round.
