Crystal Palace could be without in-form striker Connor Wickham against Liverpool

Crystal Palace could be without in-form striker Connor Wickham when Liverpool visit Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Sunday.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has revealed that in-form striker Connor Wickham may miss Sunday's visit of Liverpool in the Premier League.

Having failed to score in open play in his previous 13 league appearances this season, Wickham has scored four in Palace's last two matches away at West Bromwich Albion and his former club Sunderland.

However, he may have to miss Liverpool's visit on Sunday because of a knock sustained in Tuesday's 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light.

Pardew, whose side are winless in 11 Premier League games, told reporters: "Wickham has been terrific. Unfortunately he's got a knock so he needs a scan today. He's not been ruled out.

"If Wickham misses this Sunday it'll be a blow for us. Wayne Hennessey is also struggling, that's 11th hour again, but Pape Souare's back on that left side, which is important. He will start."

Palace's recent struggles have seen them drop from sixth and a point behind the top four to 14th and just nine points above the relegation zone.
