England midfielder Jack Grealish missed training at St George's Park on Tuesday morning ahead of their Euro 2020 clash with Scotland.
The Aston Villa captain has been recovering from a shin injury that saw him miss two months of the Premier League season from February, but he did feature in England's warm-up friendlies against Austria and Romania.
Grealish did not play during Gareth Southgate's side's 1-0 victory over Croatia in their opening tournament game, and the England camp have said that he was working away from the group during training this week.
The Daily Mail reports that Southgate must manage Grealish's workload to help him regain his match fitness, with the 25-year-old facing a race against time to prove he is ready to start in Friday's fixture.
The midfielder did train with his national teammates on Monday, but Southgate revealed before the Euros that Grealish still cannot train on consecutive days.
Grealish was awarded his senior England debut in September and has two assists in seven caps for his country.
