Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew says that the England coaching role is not a consideration as he continues to focus on club management.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has declared himself out of the running to be named the new England manager.

Fabio Capello sensationally quit as the Three Lions boss yesterday, just four months before the European Championships.

With an Englishman likely to replace the Italian coach, Magpies boss Pardew has claimed that he is "very happy" to remain at Newcastle.

"Firstly as an Englishman I'm proud to be in that sort of frame but it's not for me," said Pardew. "I make that quite clear, I'm not even in the running as far as I'm concerned.

"I'm very, very happy here at Newcastle. We're on a little project here that's going really well and I want to see it through."

The former West Ham United boss has become the latest coach in the Premier League to back Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp to become Capello's replacement.
