Late goal sees Sevilla beat Estoril Praia

Sevilla beat Estoril Praia 2-1 in their Europa League clash.

A late goal from Kevin Gameiro gave Sevilla victory in their opening Europa League group stage match against Estoril Praia.

Carlos Bacca had an early chance for the away side but Estoril goalkeeper Marco Silva saved his effort on goal.

Bacca had an even better scoring opportunity at the end of the half when he was played through by Vicente Iborra de la Fuente but Silva was quick off his line to deny the striker.

After a goalless first half the visitors took the lead in the 59th minute. Marco Marin picked out Victor Machin who placed his shot low past the keeper.

It look the home side just two minutes to score the equaliser when Bruno Miguel slotted home from close range following Evandro Goebel's ball across the box.

Kevin Gameiro scored the winning goal for Sevilla in the 77th minute when he fired home from inside the box after the Estoril's defence failed to clear a long ball.
