Everton have reportedly identified Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim as a candidate to become the club's next permanent manager.
The Toffees will step up their search for a new manager this week after making the decision to sack Marco Silva following a poor start to the 2019-20 season.
Former player Duncan Ferguson has been appointed on an interim basis and got off to a perfect start with a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
According to The Mirror, Jardim has emerged on the list of candidates to assume the position.
Jardim, currently in his second stint at Monaco, attracted global attention by winning Ligue 1 and reaching the Champions League semi-finals over the 2016-17 campaign.
David Moyes, Ralf Rangnick, Marcelino and Vitor Pereira have all been named as frontrunners for the job at Goodison Park.
