Everton boss Roberto Martinez has admitted that his side struggled to get into a rhythm in their pre-season defeat to Leicester City.
The Toffees played Nigel Pearson's side in Bangkok and went down to a 1-0 defeat as Gary Taylor-Fletcher scored the only goal of the game.
He told the club's official website: "It was a difficult game for both teams, to get that little bit of tempo. We tried the best we could with the humidity and overall you are looking at the amount of playing time that we had. Some of the players started to get 60 minutes and others completed 45.
"It was a difficult mental exercise. In many aspects, it's a type of game where you have to get through much physical pain. It worked well to get some good volume and precision work and in that respect I am really happy."
Everton face off against the Foxes in their Premier League opener on August 16.
