Everton manager David Moyes has revealed that he has already begun the search for the successor of goalkeeper Tim Howard.
The 33-year-old will make his 200th consecutive Premier League appearance for the Toffees against Stoke City on Saturday, and while Moyes has no plans to replace the American stopper, he has insisted that the club must plan for the future.
Moyes told reporters: "You are always planning for who is the next Nigel Martyn, who is the next Tim Howard.
"We are always looking to see who that next one would be. You have to do that.
"We have asked a couple of times about Jack Butland, but not recently."
Butland made his international debut for England earlier this season.
